Weekend 4 - Coolness Abounds
Sep. 17th, 2007 06:18 pmAahhh, blessed coolness; we love thee. Finally a weekend that was NOT marked by very high temps (and usually humidity).

Well, I will survive is the mantra of the weekend. *sigh*
I had looked forward to Celtic Weekend since the Cunning Woman and I were planning to do dueling Flora McDonald's for Cat & Fiddle Morris. I was also looking forward to playing with Sally Sly again. Alas, my back said Nyet. *sigh*

In the good news department the poison ivy is clearing up and my back is healing (slowly).

Opening Weekend - aka Hot Hot Hot

dawntreader90 picked up from Master Denny, ... hotter than "H - E - double jousting lances." Actually, when someone saw the "Joust Info" tabard on Sunday and asked how hot it gets in the armor, I said it made Hades look temperate. I honestly don't know how hot it gets in there but I am quite sure that 'Beastly' doesn't even come close. I also really like Dawntreader's description of how most of us felt at the end of the day. "I've felt like death warmed over before, now I know what it's like to feel like death that has been hard boiled, deep fried, baked and then sun-dried before being re-fried again." Giggle.

All in all, it was a good weekend and as I have often said, if it hast to be roasting hot, I prefer it opening weekend than Labor Day weekend. Even with today's much nicer weather, I would have been in bad shape if I tried to do day three. I'd get through it but it would be rough and ugly.

Aug. 24th, 2007 12:46 pmSo on Monday 8/20 sparowe and I kidnapped Sir Henry Clifford for a day of coasters at Six Flags America. The short version is that Sir Henry is Very Silly and great fun at a park. We had a blast and the weather was nice to us as well.

Joust Info is back
Jul. 2nd, 2007 02:30 pmIt's official. I'm back. I should get a contract this week. Yes, I'll be doing Joust Info again, no I have no idea what else I will be doing but that is normal. I hope to have time to hang with Cat & Fiddle some because they are fun.

I was browsing the Fest site and found this

2) So it sounds like Anna of Cleves will be the main story this year (the Storyline page isn't currently up)
3) I like the idea of Chivalry weekend, though I prefer Chivalry the entire season
