Assorted things
Jul. 12th, 2005 11:26 amI have several entries about vacation et al. that I am still waiting to find the time to write up but a few things have come up that won't wait.
( Bad people lecture and marriage )
Other Stuff
dglenn's link sausage with the marriage link and some other interesting things. One that caught my eye was another analogy for a serious illness. While the 'spoons' analogy helps the idea of comparing it to a second job was interesting though I haven't read the article.
I will be back at the Maryland Renaissance Festival doing joust information again.
Moss roses (aka Portalaca I think) are beautiful and cheerful.
Movies that I have seen this summer and my thoughts.
So, we have managed to avoid bad movies (or at least I don't remember them if I saw them).
Looking forward to several more and of course HPB this weekend. I'm reading Phoenix now (having finished the first four).
Echo had been lame but she was cleared by the specialist vet and is back in work. I hope to see her soon.

Star Wars III - good flick, better than the first two but not great
Madagascar - I found it OK but I was in a weird mood
Mr. & Mrs. Smith - fun, good lines, fabulous effects.
Herbie Fully Loaded - fun, nice tie in with earlier Herbie movies. Very true to the spirit of the old ones.
Fantastic Four - very fun
Batman Begins - lovely crafting, very nice effects, very nice continuity
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - I expected it to be campy and somewhat stupid. It had a lot more depth than I expected, some nice character growth and fabulous scenary
