[livejournal.com profile] xpioti, Chris & I went to see the BOBS. Xi was familiar with the group (having bought CDs for her sibling) and Chris from my playing my CDs. However, neither had seen them live. I haven't seen them live for several years.

Fun concert ... slight problems finding the barns (went in the wrong entrance) was the biggest problem.

I really appreciate the work and quality that goes into the group's performance. The poses for "Light My Fire" were wonderful as was the sound. Must play that for some friends.

They brought back some old favorites ("Sign My Snarling Doggie" "Your Boyfriend is Really a Jerk").

Fun evening!

Well, we starting sleeping in the house Sunday night. It is big and scary. We sort of camped out in the family room (futon mattress so we wouldn't have to move it on moving day).

I started making runs to storage and grabbing stuff. We had talked about maybe doing PKD on Sunday 3/23 (opening weekend) but that fell through ... too much to do). I made about 5 runs in my car over 2 days. Did get a lot moved and stowed.

On Friday 3/28 Chris & I went shopping for stuff for the house. We got a truck on Wednesday (I think ... it all runs together) for Saturday.

On Saturday we picked up the truck (Go Ryder! wonderful service) and met the crew. Beth, Andrew, [livejournal.com profile] terlan, Chris, Sylvia, and I were round one. With a 15' truck I never thought we could do it in one trip but they tried. We came to the house, unloaded in light rain (Grrr), ate, and headed back. Reloaded the truck and managed to empty to storage lockers (both of them) into the truck, Sylvia's van, and Xi's CRV. Wow!

Beth & Andrew headed home then, and the rest of us went to the house and unloaded. In the rain (again). Did some shopping, got some dinner, and everybody went home.

Sunday I was sick (still am) and all I got done was move the models from the garage to the rose room to keep them safer in the crazy temp swings.

Still camping a bit but we have furniture! Now we can mostly focus on wedding..
