Series of letters

I know a couple of people who write a series of letters on their LJ and that format seemed appropriate.

Dear face

Yes, I know you were unhappy with last night, but I would like to have SOME sensation again soon.

Signed-swollen

Dear jaw

It was a fascinating trick you pulled last night (see below), please refrain from doing so again, it annoys the face, hurts a LOT, and leaves you complaining.

Signed - Trouble Chewing

Dear Sinuses

Please stop

Signed - Tired of Tissues

Dear Knees

Yes, I am aware of your problems, you don't need to remind me. Thank you for being much quieter recently, I will remember that does not give me free license to abuse your good nature.

Signed - Glad to Walk

Dear Shoulder

Shut UP already. Geez, I know I blew your rotator twice but the most recent time was a LONG time ago, can I please sleep on my preferred side? Pretty please?

Signed - Wants to Sleep

Dear Skin

Yes, it is winter, yes it is dry. I am doing my best but there are limits to how often I can put on lotion, drink water, etc.. Please stop scaling and cracking.

Signed - Tired of Itching

For those interested in the jaw thing. I was putting some stuff in a drawer last night, and talking to Java when for some unknown reason my lower jaw decided to more or less go walkabout (without any provocation and certainly without permission). Just all of a sudden the jaw joint HURT and I was having trouble moving the jaw at all. Eventually I got it mostly closed and realized that my teeth weren't meeting ... the lower jaw was coming in about 1 tooth width to the right of where it belonged. This was NOT my idea of fun (and made the idea of cheap pizza for dinner not at all interesting). Some aleve (chosen for the muscle relaxant properties), a hot compress, and lying on my left side so that gravity would pull the jaw back helped. I was able to eat about 1 1/2 hours later but it was VERY sore. Today it has been sore with occasional twinges but I can open it (though not all the way without some serious concern).

*sigh* Getting older isn't any fun.
