Shortly after the Ark came to rest on dry ground, all the pairs of animals left each with at least one newborn of the same kind. Except for two snakes which had none.
So Noah asked them why they had not multiplied, they said they could not. He gently picked them up and put them on his table, and went away to think how he could help them.
When he came back the table was covered with many new born snakes. Noah said "I thought you said you could not multiply." They replied in unison, " we can't, we're adders, but this is a log table."
